Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)
What is Testosterone?
The primary male sex hormone and serves many roles in men such as regulating fat distribution, muscle mass, strength, libido (sex drive), bone mass, production of red blood cells, and production of sperm.
Unfortunately with age comes decreased testosterone levels for men with a decline of 1-2% after the age of 30 with continual decrease of about 1% annually from there on out. Another term for this decrease is andropause, similar to menopause that women experience. This can affect a man’s performance and overall well being.
